In a cosy arts and crafts workshop, two needle-felted friends wake before dawn to turn scraps and sparkles into wild adventures that soothe worries, solve problems, and celebrate friendship. With a warm narrator and a dash of magic, every episode ends with the chance for kids at home to get creative themselves.
Doodle and Stitch is a stop-motion animated preschool series set in a quaint arts and crafts workshop. Each morning, before the shopkeeper opens up, two needle-felted friends, Doodle the mouse and Stitch the elephant, are ready for an adventure. Inspired by their dreams, thoughts, and feelings, their curiosity and creativity kick in as they transform everyday crafting materials into extraordinary adventures. These adventures help them explore emotions, solve problems, and celebrate friendship.
Every episode begins with a small emotional or physical dilemma - a worry, a wish, or a moment of self-doubt. Through imaginative play and collaborative crafting, Doodle and Stitch build whimsical solutions that culminate in a 2D fantasy sequence where their creation comes to life.
Dialogue free, a narrator gently guides the story, offering warmth and encouragement. The narrator also talks to Doodle and Stitch and they can respond through gestures, which of course the narrator fully understands. Each episode ends with a “Now it’s your turn” sequence where the narrator lists materials and provides instructions through child-friendly on screen graphics so children can recreate the magic at home. Of course we resolve the socioemotional dilemma through their adventure and they are both left satisfied. The shopkeeper has arrived! Quick! Doodle and Stitch quickly tidy up and resume their resting poses before the shopkeeper opens for the day.
