Four short animations for BBC Learning Zone, Toby, Lilli, Jack and Debate are visually attractive, witty pieces teaching social and mental skills for 7-11 year-olds. They’ll be broadcast on the web, and also on the BBC Learning Zone programming. They were animated by a variety of talented folk using both 2D and 3D techniques.
Flickerpix has just delivered the first nine episodes of its new BBC1 NI commissioned Days Like This. Using real stories from the Radio Ulster series, we bring the most memorable days in people’s lives to life through a variety of animation and motion graphics techniques. We’ve drawn on the talents of animators from Londonderry to Freiburg in Switzerland.
We’re excited to be producing four animated films for Sesame Workshop in New York, for inclusion in the Sesame Workshop Library. These four films will be incorporated into regional Sesame productions globally and will be seen by hundreds of millions of children.
This is not an April Fool. (we hope!)
With the start of April comes Flickerpix’s new identity as part of Waddell Media. We’re excited at the possibilities – it’s a creative marriage made in heaven. And we get to move to swanky new offices in glam Holywood (well, not that glam!)
