Our small but perfectly formed studio lies in the heart of Holywood. Yes that’s Holywood with one ‘L’ not two, but what’s one letter between friends?

We’re part of the Waddell Media Group, one of Ireland’s largest and most successful independent production companies and work in their new purpose built studios, just a seagull’s fly away from Belfast Lough.

Our films tell stories, creating characters you love. We create images that engage the senses and emotions. Whether our animations are destined for television, film, broadcast graphics or advertising, we deliver visual flair and playfulness with care and attention to detail.

We believe in our characters and stories and you’ll see it in every frame of our films. We’re proud of every pixel.

Flickerpix is a complete animation studio. We offer a one-stop shop from concept origination, development, scripting, character design, storyboarding, in either CGI, stop-motion, or classic 2D animation. Our systems include Softimage XSI, the full Adobe Creative Suite, and lots of A4 sketchpads.

We have an in house (5 Node) Renderfarm, running 24GHz of Intel Xeon Processors and 40Gb of RAM, for dedicated Softimage XSI (3D) and Adobe After Effects (2D) rendering.

Mac-Pro workstations with Sony broadcast monitors connnected directly to Blackmagic Design: Decklink HD hardware. We use the full Adobe Creative Suite for the majority of our work.

We have three fully equipped stop motion animation studios and we use Dragon Software.

Flickerpix Animations contributed hugely to the Newsround special. From concealing identities to illustrating children’s memories, their animations made what can be a difficult subject to talk about more digestible for our audience – without taking away the reality of the subject matter.Lizzy Lambley,

Channel 4 commissioned Flickerpix to create some Paralympic-themed animated vignettes.
